Fat Rant

Happy weekend fellow bloggers. I was trolling around my usual sites when I came across this fabulous video clip. Watch it! (Thanks Leah!)

We hold ourselves to such ridiculous standards, don't we? And women,... why are we so hard on each other? Let's promise to give each other a break, cut some slack to our sistahs -- whether old or young, fat or skinny, botoxed or lined, flat or enhanced -- and, like she says, LIVE!

I know I love that rant. It's awesome!

I just broke my plateau ... but people tell me I should be 160. I'm shooting for 200 cuz I know I won't be the same as I was before I had kids.

I'd be happy at 200.

I wish everyone could see this rant.

I've been told my ideal weight is between 109 and 115. HA!! At my skinniest, I was 125. I spent and hour at the gym DAILY and lived on Special K and yoghurt. Can't tell me that's healthy, or realistic.
Yes, I do need to loose weight, but I have also come to terms with the fact that I love food, chocolate and sitting on my butt in front of the computer too much to ever see the other side of 150 again :)

Whylie, this is great. Wish I'd found it when I posted to someone who complained about my Musing of a Little, Fat, Funny Girl tag on my site.

Well, I don't have any sistahs bit if I did I'd cut them lots of slack. That was great. Who is Joy Nash? Do you think she would go out with me?

Oh Nicholas -- I'm SURE she would fall over backwards for you... but what would damozel say? :)

That was awesome. Thank you for sharing that.

That girl has a great head on her shoulders and she presented it excellently.

For sure!!!! I have a sedentary job ... and I love carbs.

I'll control what I eat but dammit I have to splurge.

As Rosalind Russell said in Auntie Mame "Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death."

Too true.

Rashenbo - agreed!

David - thanks for visiting my blog. I'll pop over to yours later...

TL - No beans... They're carbs!! :)

Amy - congrats on that plateau!

Personally, in my era, if you weren't fat, you were dying of scurvy.

I love this Joy woman. Anyone else notice her great hair, smile and posture? Thanks for posting this here. I agree with many of the sentiments - everyone should watch this, especially the young girls who are striving to be a double 00 - since when is that a real clothing size!
