AAAACCCCKKKK - Law of Averages is OUT OF MY HANDS

I just hit 'send'. Law of Averages is shooting through cyberspace towards my uber-awesome editor Kelli. (Hmm... will she still be uber-awesome if she rejects it?)

OF COURSE! :)

Now the waiting begins. The gut-gnawing, nail-biting, little-ball-of-panic-in-the-bottom-of -your-belly that flips over everytime you see your email inbox with a (1) beside it. Will it be her? Will they accept? Reject? Love? Hate? Want to change?
AAAHHH
You know I'm going to totally crack under this pressure. Especially since it'll be a good eight to twelve weeks (on the early end!) before I find out.
Oh valium, where are'st thou?

Woohoo!!! Congratulations on getting it sent out to Kelli. I'm sure she will love your story, and will snatch it up quickly.

*does the snoopy dance*

Congrats on sending it out, babe!

Now, take a deep breath, forget about it, and get to work on the next one!!!

Thanks Christine. Your dancin' eases the pain of the wait ;D

SHG - GREAT advice, but easier said than done!

Valium schmalium! Of course she's going to love it! We all will.

I love it! And I'm sure Kelli will, too. Law of Averages ROCKS *big smile*.

But I know what you're talking about, the agony of waiting... the only thing that helps for me is throwing myself headlong into a new project! :)

I know it's easier said than done. But it sure beats making yourself nuts!

Besides, there's always the thinking/dreaming part of writing the next one. No one ever said it was ALL writing!

Deep breaths, remember very deep breaths.

Yeah, that's scary. I just did the same thing a couple weeks ago and I am writing all the time to distract myself. Just keep busy. :)

Moondancer - You too?? GOOD LUCK!!!

Tempest - thanks! And if you can manage, cross the toes too, eh?

Sparkster - I got the tag via Rhi so :P

It's hard to wait because it's out of your hands. That part never feels good.

Congrats! I know the sinking feeling well. I sent off a manuscript on Monday. I hate waiting. I've been prowling the house like one of my Middlemarch leopards all afternoon. I hate to say it but the panic, doubt and belly flip-flops don't go away even with more books under your belt. At least they haven't with me!

The best is that you've sent it way to go gorl!!!!

Hi how are you? I've been awol and missing blogging for weeks now...this is the first time in a few days I've been catching up...my first Tt list in weeks.

I list why I've been awol.

Now what will you do to keep busy while waiting to hear back from this editor?

Read? I hope so...have fun? I hope so.

I hope you have a chance to come and say hi...it feels like home to see your familiar blog, isn't that a weird sounding thing?

Cheers
Candy
