One HOT Thanksgiving, Law of Averages

Hope all of my Canadian friends had a terrific Thanksgiving.
I had to be so careful with the food this year (see post re ATTACK), and sadly had to pass up the gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and just about everything else that had taste! But the turkey and oven-baked unseasoned squash was delightful.
No really...

The weather in my neck of the woods was unseasonably HOT. Thanksgiving Day had us in shorts. SHORTS! The temps hit the 80's and the humidity was almost unbearable. Felt more like August then October. But I'm not complaining because winter will be on us soon...

And despite being very tied up with family-type activities, I managed to get a few thousand words done on my latest novella, Law of Averages, bringing the word count to over 15,000. (insert Woo Hoo!) If the Gods smile on me, I should be finished by Saturday.
(insert laughter here) Course, that means skipping another TT, but it's the name of productivity, so it's a must!

Happy Dance for you, Wylie! You're really rockin' and rollin' with your WIP! I can't wait to read it. :-D

I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, but I'm sorry you couldn't eat as much of the ooey gooey stuff as you would have wanted.

Oh, speaking of reading stuff -- I created a new short story blog and posted a brand new story there, if you'd like to check it out! As a fellow kitty purrson, you will enjoy it. And I'm planning on adding more short stories as the mood hits me -- they're fun!

And House on Bear Branch will be revised sooner than I'd anticipated, too -- I'm going to devote Sweat to revising and polishing it. It needs a lot of work, but I think it would be better for me to use Sweat to get HoBB whipped into shape, and do a brand new novel for NaNo only.

Hugs to you, my friend!

p.s. -- I meant to add, I hear you on skipping TT in the name of productivity. I'll be doing a lot more that myself. I enjoy TT, but it's a hell of a lot of work and time and effort which can often be better expended elsewhere! I'll still participate in TT from time to time as I feel like it, but I likely won't be making it a high priority anymore.

Thanks Christine and Julia!

And TL - I'll definitely check out your short story blog!
And those darn TT's... they're so much fun, especially visiting everyone else's cool lists, but I'll have to view it as a reward for a week of hard work.

It's what we artists must do to sacrifice for our art. If I didn't have a monthly theme this month I would by pass TT this week. C'est La Vie.

Congrats on the word counts I am eagerly awaiting your next piece Ms. Kinson, as are a couple of your fans at my EDJ. They keep bugging me to bug you to get your rear in gear.
