Warning: No trace of HUMBLE in this post

See that thing on my sidebar that says CURRENT WIP? Over there to the right -- go look. Look now, because soon it'll be gone. Not gone-gone, but moved down to the MY BOOKS section.

Law of Averages has been ACCEPTED by EC!

*Postscript: deleted the next two paragraphs, because I managed to annoy even myself*

YAY!!! I am so happy for your quickness at it. (Jeez that was fast) and that your multi published now kiddo!! YIPEEEEE!!!!

Congratulations, Wylie! Happy Dancing for you!

(And the quickness comes from having a previously published book ... mine's almost four months - but I'm FINE with that. While I haven't heard there's still hope.)

Yes Leah - you're absolutely correct. I have an editor already so I'm in, where a new author to EC (or other house) would have to go through the general-submission gate, which takes much longer.
When I submitted Destiny by Design, I waited about 2 months to hear it was going to an acquiring editor (only because I broke a rule and asked! - eek!) and another 2 months for a conditional acceptance based on an revise and resubmit.

Ya, always it takes a while to break in. I heard fast only because I submitted to a call for submission where there was a deadline to accept.

Once your in you hear alot faster. No worries Leah. I hope you hear soon and CONGRATS again to Wylie I can't wait for the Law of Averages.

Way to go Wylie! I was wondering where my Inner Cheerleader had run off to -- she must be at your place. ;)

Awesome news! Congrats! And darn that's fast...

Carrie - thanks, and yes, epubs feed my impatience. One of these I plan to reach for the brass ring that is NY, but for now, I like the quick satisfaction of the epub!

Bonnie - LOL! I'll send her back. I'm good for awhile on the adrenilyn rush (I know I spelled the wrong, whatever!)

Amy - well said. I guess once a NY author is in, same goes in terms of speed??

Julia - THANKS! Love the jumping jack. What do I have to do for a cartwheel :D

I think so,

and you didn't need to delete those two paragraphs. You rock and you weren't annoying not at all. :)

You deserve to preen my dear I know how tough it is for you to shut off that internal editor and move forward. I am so proud of you!!! :)

Amy - Oh, but I did. If I could avoid myself for the next few days I totally would. I can barely be in the same room with my head! :D

Thanks so much guys -- I really appreciate your comments and willingness to share my news.

Of course now you'll hear nothing but 'Law of Averages this' and 'Law of Averages that' until it releases.

I apologize in advance *chagrin* but consider it fair warning :D
