Too tired to talk about Nationals, kind of...

Nationals is over :(

I'm home, I'm exhausted, and I can't wait to share conference news.... when my eyes lose the blurry fuzz...
Meeting people was definitely the highlight -- Karen Erickson, MG Braden, Jennifer Leeland, RG Alexander, - hell, ALL THE DIVAS!!, Jennifer North, ROBIN ROTHAM!! (finally!), Anne Calhoun, Elizabeth Baxter, Denise Rosetti, Kimberly Frost--all authors in different stages of their careers, in all genres. What a phenomenal experience.
I did go fan-girl on Joanna Bourne, Meredith Duran, Debbie Macomber, Eve Silver (sorry Eve, but your talent tongue-ties me... ) and if Michelle Rowen was one ounce more funny, friendly and personable I'd bump off Bonnie Staring to fill the BFF role (so hold yerself back, MR!)

And hanging with my TRW buddies without having to sit through a meeting (hee) was just the best. C - put me down for rooming-duties next time!

And now I'm going to crawl into my son's Thomas the Tank Engine bed, just to smell his hair. *sigh*

Until next time,...

Glad you made it back safely! What A BLAST!!!! And Julia, were your ears burning? Wylie and I discussed you at length.
Remember to come to the dark side Wylie! We have cookies!

That explains why you kept on pushing me near the stairs and escalators. And there I was thinking you were just being friendly...

Wylie - it was so great to meet you in person. I have one maple candy left, then I might have to fly across country to hunt you down for more!!

Gwen - yes, thank Jaysus (i had too) your friend had sore feet!

TL - Only thing missing was you!! Nashville, 2010. You'd better be there. Or we'll find you.

MG - See what you're missing WAAAAY out there in the west? Come east, sistah, come east!

Leah - I really really wish you'd come to conference! You could have guided my royal newbie ass through some of the overwhelmingly bits, of which there were MANY!

Jennifer - YOU ARE THE FUNNIEST FREAKING DIVA IN DIVA HISTORY!! I didn't know whether to hug you or puke on your shoes.
Man, you really really made the price of the conference totally worth every penny...
:D

Bonnie Staring... you just wait. The minute I have Psychic Misfit on my bookshelf, I won't be able to form a sentence around you either. That's how easy this fangirl falls ;)

Have a great sleep in the Thomas the Tank Engine bed. I'm so glad you had a great time with everyone, but especially Jennifer - how I wish I would have been there!!!! You both will be happy to know I've plunged deeply into the dark side, lately...

Wylie, I did see you, but it was at the literacy signing and you were running around like crazy. If I realized it was the only time I would see you, I would have tackled you then and there.

Ah well....maybe next year.

Hey chica! Good to see you back! Gotta post pics of the convention. ;) BTW, where's the pic of Christine doing the chicken dance? *wg*

RENE!! NOOOOO!!!
If you saw me at the lit signing, you saw me at my absolute WORST.
It was hot sweaty business carrying those heavy trays of water around. I'm SO not volunteering for that next year. I want a pretty job, where I can sit and look cute and be happy in my non-sweaty state. :)
Just kidding -- It was back-breaking work, but fun. I'm sorry you had to 'smell' me at my worst. And even sorrier I didn't know it was YOU!!

Hi Tempest! I always get a smile on my face when I see you've visited. (must be the 'chica' thing *G*)
Alas, no camera handy for Christine's big snoopy-dance-off. Next time!
