Monday Monday and another Unofficial Poll

Only 14 more days until school! WOO HOO

Amy has a book review up at Six Degrees of Sexy today. It's an Under the Covers erotica tale so go check it out...

Happy to report that kitten Lady Grey is happily playing this morning, so it looks like she too has recovered from the mysterious kitten ailment. Now I've got to wean them off milk-as-a-special-sick-kitten-treat. It is bad for them right? Thomma Lyn?? Or can I safely give them a bowl of cream every now and again?

I read Red's Divine Assistant this weekend and urge you to add it to the top of your TBR pile. It's part of Ellora's Cave 'Torrid Tarot' series, featuring the Nine of Pentacles. It's a lovely romantic tale with terrific likable characters, a good dose of humor and, it should go without saying - some very hot interaction between the h/h. Well done, Ms Garnier. And I look forward to more of your contemporaries!

Nicholas has an interesting post, which links to a scientific news article about instantaneous travel and how it effects the way we look at space/time -- I won't go into to it here -- you must go read it yourself, but it left me with this question:

If you could time travel, where and when would I go and why? Remember, you can't change anything... just have a wee look!

Me? There are so many... but for starters I would like to have a peek at an original production of a Shakespeare play at the Globe.

I'd go back to the Gold Rush, something pioneer-ish. I've had this fascination with the Old West since I was a young teenager, and I think a real real real look at it would finally cure my obsession -- like an in-your-face episode of Deadwood. I know it would be hard and nasty and violent, but wouldn't that be a sight??

I'm so happy Kitty's doing better, Wylie! You see? Your love can accomplish anything! =) Thanks for the pimpage, too . . . I'm so happy you liked Divine. I had a blast writing that one . . . Have a great Monday sweets!

Good to hear that Lady Grey's doing better! Always a good way to start the week.

Where would I go if I could go back in time? Hmm ... I think I'd rather go ahead in time and then come back and invest accordingly. All right, all right, so I'm mercendary. I'd probably go back 2008 years ago and see you know who ... an extra bit of faith would come in handy right now.

hi wylie,
i think i'd choose to live in a castle during medieval times (all those secret corridors! all those jousting knights! and everywhere flattering candlelight!) if i could fix it to avoid the chastity belt part.

ref: your book challenge list - what did you think of 'fall on your knees'? i found it disturbing and unputdownable at the same time. very powerful. made it all the disappointing when i HATED her next, 'where the crow fliea' or whatever it was called

I'd go back to the time of the Celts Pre Rome. Revel in some paganisim.

I'm almost done Lover Eternal and Divine Assistant. heehee!!!

I'll go check out Nicholas's post -- sounds interesting! And YIPPEE -- I'm so glad little Lady Gray is feeling better!

Cow's milk can be hard on kitties' systems -- it often causes diarrhea. A little cream now and then isn't bad as a treat, though, as long as their little systems tolerate it okay. :) Give the little kitties kisses from me. :) They are SO CUTE!!!!!

If I could time travel, I'd go to the future. There are so many things which I want to know about the universe, and I wonder when and how and if humans will figure out those questions. :)

Hi Wylie just thought I would drop by and say hi. Time travel hmm, I don't think I could pick just one spot to go see, lol

Carrie - the Pioneer Days, yes!! Did you happen to catch that reality show (I think it was TLC?) where they took a few families out west and only gave them 'pioneerish' things to make due with? It was excellent - and a wee bit scary! Don't know if I could do it for anymore than a day. No internet? WAHHHH

Hi Red - my pleasure!

Leah - yeah, I had that same thought about going back 2000-odd years, just to see if there was as much fuss back then as there is now :)

TL - I knew you'd be my answer girl! They haven't had any messy poops, so I'm assuming they were okay with the milk. But I'll save it for VERY special occassions!

Terra - thanks for visiting! And yes, narrowing down just one place/time is difficult, but I'm thinking it would make a great Thursday Thirteen list :)

If you saw a play by Shakespeare at the Globe, would you be a groundling, or in the posh seats?

Wylie Kinson said...

M - I responded on you blog...

Nicholas - Why a groundling, of course!

I'm glad she's doing better. :)

My kids went back to school today, thank goodness. I love them dearly, but... well, y'know.

Ann - I'm SO FREAKING JEALOUS!! That's it, we're moving to Mexico...

btw - good thing your vacation wasn't interrupted by that nasty hurricane. What a shame for the Yucatan Pen... that Dean is a bastard!

Glad to hear about Lady Grey getting back on her little kitty feet. I remember my dog picking up a few illnesses when she was a puppy - I hated not being able to do anything while she was so miserable.

And for time travel - your Globe Theatre idea is a temptation. But for me it would have to be turn-of-last-century Europe, at a theatre to see Vaslav Nijinsky, the greatest male dancer in the history of the world. Though how can anyone be superior to Mikhail Baryshnikov...? And I would have to be in one of the close-up box seats.

Gosh, classes already started here two weeks ago. Wooohoo!

Glad to hear your kitty is doing well. Going to have to check out some of those new reads.

Thank you for visiting my TT last week. This week I'm thanking my fellow TTer's. Come by and get your thanks!
